What to write in Affidavit, Schedule or Verification

There are some essential parts in drafting of a civil plaint, petition or application that must be mentioned precisely. These parts go along with the plaint or application to add weight to its significance. 

Verification is included with the plaint. Affidavit is included in any sort of petition or application. The usual format of such statements has been given below for educational purposes:

  • Schedule of Property in Dhaka:

All piece and parcels of land measuring ___ Kathas, situated in Mouza _____, District Dhaka, Police Station ______, Sub Registry Office ______, Touzi under Dhaka Collectorate, appertaining in C.S Khatian No. ___, S.A. Khatian No. ___, R.S Khatian No. ___, Plot No. ___, Mohanagar Zarip Plot No. ___ & Holding No. ___, which is butted and bounded by:

On the East: House of _______

On the West: House of ________
On the North: House of _________
On the South: House of ________

  • Verification:

That the statement made herein above are true to the best of my knowledge & belief, whereof I signed this verification with sound mind and without any instigation of other on this __ of _____, before the learned Advocate.

  • Affidavit:

I, ________, son of __________, of _____, Dhaka, aged about __ Years, by religion _____, by profession ______, by nationality Bangladeshi, do hereby solemnly affirm and say as follows:

1. That I am the plaintiff of the suit and petitioner of the above petition and I am familiar with the facts and circumstances of the suit and as such competent to swear this affidavit.
2. The statements made herein above are true to my information based on the record which I verily believe to be true.
I signed and sworn this affidavit appearing before the Commissioner of Affidavit of this learned Court on this __ of ____ at ___ A.M.
